The short version
Plantly Inventory is an offline-first plant-care tracker. It works without an account, and all your plant data, care logs and photos are stored only on your device. The app does not upload them anywhere, shows no ads, contains no advertising or tracking SDKs and never sells data. The only data that can ever leave your device are optional crash reports and anonymous usage counts, which are off by default and which you can switch on or off at any time.
1. Who we are
Plantly Inventory is published by URUNDEAD LABS S.R.L., a Romanian limited liability company (CUI 54762154), which is also the operator of the plantly.ro marketplace. Where any personal data is processed as described in this policy, URUNDEAD LABS S.R.L. is the data controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. No account, no server-side data
You do not need to register, sign in or provide any personal details to use Plantly Inventory. We do not operate a user database for the app. Everything you enter — the plants you own, their names and species, care schedules, watering and fertilising logs, notes and photos — is written to storage that belongs to the app on your device and stays there.
Because the data lives on your device, it is governed by your device’s own protections (screen lock, encryption, OS backups). If you delete the app, its data is deleted with it.
3. Optional diagnostics (off by default)
The app can send two kinds of technical diagnostics to help us fix bugs. Both are disabled until you turn them on under Me → Privacy & data:
- Crash reports — when the app crashes, a stack trace together with basic device information (device model, OS version, app version) is sent.
- Anonymous usage counts — counts of which screens are opened and which buttons are tapped, with no identifier that links them to you.
Diagnostics are delivered to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), our error-monitoring provider, acting as a processor on our behalf. They never include your plants, care logs, notes or photos, and we do not attach names, e-mail addresses or advertising identifiers. Our Sentry configuration targets a retention of at most 90 days, after which reports are deleted; Sentry’s own privacy policy applies to its infrastructure.
You can switch diagnostics off at any time from the same settings screen; the change takes effect immediately and nothing further is sent. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
4. Reminders
Care reminders are local notifications scheduled and shown by your device. No reminder data is sent to us or to any push-notification service.
5. Backups and exports
You can create a backup or export of your collection from inside the app. The result is a file you create and that you decide where to save or with whom to share, using your device’s standard share and file dialogs. The app never uploads backups or exports on its own.
6. Links to plantly.ro and the plant handoff
The app can open plantly.ro in your browser, for example to browse the marketplace. Once you are on plantly.ro, the plantly.ro privacy policy applies.
The app can also receive plant information through special links from Plantly Assistant or plantly.ro (the “handoff”), so that a plant you identified or bought can be added to your collection with one tap. The plant details travel inside the link itself, are decoded and processed only on your device, and nothing is sent back to plantly.ro or to us.
7. Future feature: “Sell on plantly.ro”
This version of the app does not include a way to publish plants for sale. If we enable an optional “Sell on plantly.ro” feature in a future update, it would require you to sign in to a plantly.ro account and would transmit only the listing you explicitly create and submit. We will update this policy before any such feature becomes available.
8. Permissions the app uses
- Notifications — to show your care reminders.
- Camera / photos — to attach a photo to a plant, only when you choose to take or pick one.
- Network — only to open links to plantly.ro, to receive handoff links and, if you opted in, to send diagnostics. The app is fully functional offline.
9. No ads, no tracking, no sale of data
Plantly Inventory shows no advertising, embeds no advertising or analytics SDKs beyond the optional Sentry diagnostics described above, does not build profiles of you and does not sell, rent or otherwise trade any data.
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Since the app does not collect personal data in normal use, this concerns only the optional diagnostics; if you believe a child has enabled them, contact us and we will delete the reports.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Romania, the ANSPDCP). Because your plant data is held only on your device, you exercise access, correction and deletion directly in the app — by editing or deleting entries, using the export feature, or uninstalling the app. To withdraw consent to diagnostics, switch them off under Me → Privacy & data. 12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page together with its effective date. Material changes — such as enabling the selling feature described above — will be announced in the app before they take effect.
